Special Invitation to 23rd African Missions Summit (AMS 2018)

Dearly Beloved,

Calvary greetings in Jesus name. I trust that this post will find you growing in grace.

The rage against the church and the mission mandate is getting fiercer by the day. It is not uncommon to hear Christians complain about the Muslims & Islamic agenda as one of the critical cause. Often, I have asked if there is anything wrong with they having an agenda and being very passionate about fulfilling it. Also, I have frequently asked if anybody or group stop us, the Christian from developing our agenda. In one of such forum at Aba, Nigeria where I was speaking at a World Missions Conference, the Nigeria Evangelical Mission Association (NEMA)’s Executive Secretary, Bro. Mike Adegbile openly corrected me and said the church has an agenda. He talked about the NEMA Vision 5015. I took time to reflect on his response and asked if the church really know that the agenda existed. If they do, why have we been so passionless about it?

Beside the NEMA’s agenda for Nigeria’s church, the global church has a global agenda which Jesus himself took time to highlight during His earthly ministry. That is the Great Commission. The 23rd African Missions Summit (AMS 2018) will focus primarily on this. We will address the challenge of what stakeholders in world evangelization can do to step up our passion and get this mandate fulfilled. We will look at various strategies and models that nations in Africa have adopted to pursue this course and what more we can do.

On March 21-25, 2018 we will have the privilege as stakeholders in the front line of advancing the gospel to the darkest part of the earth especially the African continent to converge and synergize. I consider it an enormous pleasure to invite you to this 23rd African Missions Summit (AMS 2018) coming up at the headquarters of Grace Foundation International, Jos, Nigeria. To be part of this great event, do kindly join us to pray together, brainstorm and share challenging experiences and models that will help us move forward. We cannot be overrun by Islam in Africa. Certainly, not in our generation. The reality on the ground is scary but all God is waiting for is you and I. Delegates from Nigeria will have a closed session on security to discuss sensitive issues that affect the nation and God has blessed us with seasoned servants of His that will be speaking and facilitating both prayers and discussion this year. The President of Soteria Ministries in Maryland, United States of America, Dr. Chuka Anude will be speaking on the theme: The Great Commission and the Church’s Global Agenda. He has been involved at various levels in providing leadership to pursue this course for decades with passion in Nigeria and other nations. The NEMA Executive Secretary, Bro. Mike Adegbile will be speaking on Vision 5015 and the Go Forth strategy.

Stakeholders from no fewer than 10 African countries like Prince Mtowo of Namibia, Rani Muthulinghum from South Africa, Jean-Baptist Ouango from Senegal and Edward Amankwaa from Ghana. Gaou Dieudonne from Cameroon, among others will be providing a bridge for mission opportunities across the continent.
Shared accommodation, feeding and summit materials will be provided free for participants who pre-register. For the avoidance of doubt, the summit is not sponsored by any foreign organization but we choose to make this sacrifice to make it easy for the grassroots stakeholders who may not be able to afford the fund to be able to attend. The Pre-summit registration is a pre-requisite for attendance as that will help us in security management, proper budgeting, and planning.

Participation is extended to field missionaries, decision/policy makers, other stakeholders in world evangelization including mission leaders, church pastors, mission supporters, student leaders, etc. In addition to focusing on the theme, there will be platforms for networking and syndicate groups that will be providing practical ministry opportunities in Latin America, Middle East, and Francophone countries.
Our team on the ground is looking forward to receiving you at the summit and providing you warm African hospitality. Your attendance will be a great honor and encouragement, and we hope that it will positively impact God’s work among the unreached people groups.
